Innovas has been appointed by Cheshire East Skills & Growth Company (S&GC) on two separate commissions. First, to support development of a European funding bid and second, to provide an initial evaluation of the performance of the company to date and its potential future impact on the Cheshire East economy.
The S&GC was established by Cheshire East Council in April 2016 as an Alternative Service Delivery Vehicle (ASDV) to lead economic development, skills and innovation activity across the Borough.
As part of the European work, Innovas is assisting the S&GC to develop an outline application for European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) under Priority 1 (Innovation), including developing a project concept, funding and delivery model.
These commissions add to Innovas’ extensive record in both European funding and evaluation work.
Recent key assignments include developing low carbon ESIF project briefs for three West Midlands Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and the Leicester & Leicestershire LEP, as well as evaluations of European funded youth enterprise support across Wales and in Kirklees and evaluations of domestic skills funding support for the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and the Institute of Quarrying.
