Working with the local International Trade Directors in the East Midlands and the Northwest to develop Regional International Trade Strategies and country action plans

Export Support to companies through programme delivery
This included the development and delivery of ‘Go Global’ programme to support mid-size companies; and the International Business Opportunity programme for Wales with responsibility for the Middle East

International Government Support

Saudi Arabia – lived and worked in KSA for nearly 20 years including as acting as agent for UK companies and other international companies; Lagos, Nigeria – as an importer and distributor based in Lagos, Nigeria; construction industry working for the British Government on projects as far afield as the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar and Kathmandu

As Director of Business Development, External and International Relations at MIDAS, Manchester’s Inward Investment Agency; encouraging foreign owned companies to set up business in Manchester; working with inward investment agencies in the East Midlands to support investor retention and attraction
