Helping the Community
Innovas started its business in Winsford in 2006 and is still based there, although its main office has now moved to Sandiway, Northwich. Over the years the business has supported numerous local events, individuals, and organisations; and continues to do so today.
In 2022 Innovas set up the Hope Fund to support local organisations through sponsorship of their activities. In this first year of the award 13 organisations were supported, each with a fund of £500+ depending on the details of the individual project they wanted funded.
This new initiative is continuing and builds on the previous support Innovas has provided to the community.
Winsford Town Under 13 Saxons football team sponsorship
In 2019 Innovas first sponsored the then U9’s team with their kit. This sponsorship is now ongoing as the team in 2023 moves to become an Under 13’s team.
Last season they won the league and also the Presidents Cup.
The team are strong, competitive and determined to learn new skills and to deliver the best performance they can.
Mayor’s Charity Variety Show 2018
In 2018, drawing on his musical background, Tim Ashcroft put on a Variety Show to support the Mayor to raise money for charity. With a magician, singers, ukelele orchestra, big band, balloon modeller, hula hoop dancer, pop choir and street dancers; in total a cast of over 100 from age 4 to 84 – this was a night to remember! Innovas also provided all the marketing and promotional materials.
The show supported the Mayor’s nominated charities: St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice and Winsford Youth and Community Forum; and raised over £1,500.
Winsford Town Mayor’s Oscars Awards
Each year the town mayor recognises individuals and organisations at an annual awards evening covering various categories. Innovas has sponsored the award for ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ for several years. In 2018 Tim Ashcroft was himself honoured with an award for ‘Business Initiative of the Year’.
Winsford Youth and Community Forum
In 2021-22 Innovas supported the Winsford Youth and Community Forum to provide a Parent Led CBT* (Cognitive behavioural therapy ) course which ran initially for 7 weeks. It is a psychological intervention in which parents/carers are supported in applying CBT principles in their child’s day to day life, this can lead to good outcomes for child anxiety. There are plans now to roll this out wider.
Innovas has put Corporate Social Responsibility at the heart of the way it works. We do not simply focus on short-term activities; rather, we have embedded CSR into our corporate Culture.
