Supporting Business through Publicly funded programmes

Business Growth Hub
Innovas has been working with the Business Growth Hub in Manchester to deliver a bespoke programme for managers and owners of SMEs across Greater Manchester. The programme is focusing on leadership and management of fast growing business, leading teams in growth companies and self-management.
Business Growth Service - GrowthAccelerator Service
Innovas delivered workshops throughout the North of England for the GrowthAccelerator service, a programme for 26,000 high growth businesses nationally. Innovas delivered coaching to many business owners and directors during the programme, specialising in strategy, sales & marketing, leadership & management, process improvement and change management, particularly with SMEs targeting business-to-business markets.
Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN)
Innovas has designed and delivered workshops and provided sales & marketing consultancy to apprenticeship providers on strategic planning, leadership & management, sales strategy and digital & offline marketing. Projects have involved support over several months including review, development and implementation of business growth strategies, working with leadership teams to and with business development teams to grow sales. Results have been significantly more focused leadership, sales teams that are more focused on engagement with customers and increased revenues and profits.

 

Innovas is currently working with Enterprising Barnsley to support start-up and young businesses with marketing and leadership projects. Innovas delivers workshops to groups of business people and individual consultancy, depending on the needs of the business. Workshop subjects include, strategy, value propositions, marketing communication, social media, branding, networking, presentation skills, problem solving, delegation, coaching, people skills and HR.
Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU)
Innovas is currently working with MMU across Manchester and Cheshire providing support to SMEs through the delivery of workshops and coaching to pre-start, start-up, and small businesses.

Innovas is working with the Collegiate on two contract providing support to SMEs across the Cheshire and Warrington Growth area to start and grow their businesses through a combination of workshops and 1-to-1 coaching.
Additionally Innovas is supporting in the delivery of the SMART Cheshire Innovation programme supporting companies to develop and launch new products and services through its 8Launch Programme.

Welsh Government Start-Up Programme
Innovas provided support across Northwest Wales for 4 years to pre-start and early stage companies through workshops, 1-to-1 mentoring and coaching.

Working directly with SMEs

Celsius
Celsius is a sales recruitment company. Innovas developed eight advanced sales workshops for an ISMM approved Advanced Diploma. These include Major Account Sales, Retaining & growing customers, Social media for sales people, Field sales, Telesales, Presentation
skills, Time management and Sales management. These have been delivered in house to a number of clients including a software company. Innovas delivered training on Advanced Selling Skills, focusing on How to Win Large Orders, strategic thinking and a long-term approach
Prohibition PR
Innovas worked delivered a series of workshops focused on building client response skills in the team. Initial sessions concentrated on addressing different personalities, productivity levels and decision-making. Immediate results have included a more positive problem-solving attitude which is resulting in better customer focus.
Dzinr
Innovas worked with the two directors to build a strategy to triple turnover over the next 3 years. This involved developing a 3 year vision, 3 year vision and 12 month strategic plan, identification of key markets, value propositions and messaging in line with strategy, launch of new product, including promotion and pricing, digital and traditional marketing campaign plan to secure more larger-sized clients and competitor analysis. Since the consultancy the SME has expanded into new offices and significantly grown both its client base and revenues.
In2 Cleaning
Innovas has worked with the company to develop leadership and business skills over several months as part of a period of succession planning. Over an extended period Innovas has helped the business in development of a vision and strategy, a 12-month marketing campaign focusing on both digital and offline marketing and sales planning, and focusing on leadership and business skills.
MGS Plastics
Innovas provided leadership coaching to the production line management and supervisory staff. The company’s owners believed that developing leadership skills in key people in the company was an essential factor in the future growth of the company. The scope of consultancy over several months included: leadership development, appraisals and performance and cultural change.
Intec
Innovas delivered a series of workshops using the Thomas Kilmann Instrument. The overall objective was to build team performance, through individuals understanding their team’s strengths and areas for development.
Claymore Business Machines
Innovas worked with the management team to develop growth plans for the next 5 years and to relaunch its image and branding to reflect the changing marketplace
PPL Sport & Leisure Ltd (signage e.g. for the Open. Rugby World Cup)
Innovas worked with the senior management team and directors to complete a strategic review and developed a forward 3 years plan to develop the company further. Also developed and supported them on a series of critical tenders.

Working with the Public Sector

NHS Leadership Academy – ongoing Membership of the national Faculty (2012-18)
The new NHS Leadership Academy was established in April 2012 and is now spearheading the development of leadership across the NHS. Innovas consultants were selected to be part of this faculty to design, develop and deliver the programmes of the future including Nye Bevan, Top Leaders, and Frontline.

NHS NW Alliance 21st Century Leaders Programme-Joint with University of Salford
Mid-Management Leadership Development Programme: Innovas co-designed, delivered and evaluated the overall programme across the Northwest working with 80 managers over a 6 month period.

Emerging Clinical Leaders Network (eCLN)
Supporting junior doctors in the Northwest to establish the Emerging Clinical Leaders Network and to deliver a series of leadership development programmes.

Design and Delivery of a Suite of Management & Leadership Programmes for the HE Sector in partnership with the University of Salford - aimed at equipping university key staff from marketing, teaching, and management with the insights, tools, and skills for today’s challenging business and education environment:

NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups in the Northwest - Board Development Centres
On behalf of the NHS NW Leadership Academy, These Development Centres were built around a simulated health economy and use the Thomas Kilman Conflict Mode instrument (TKI) as a basis for the group development, and combines the need for a combination of facilitation and ‘teaching’ skills to be incorporated.

Working closely with the boards of major public sector organisations from across the UK
The role of Innovas has included the facilitation of the development of strategies and policy, development of consensus based action plans, and one-two-one development. Clients have included: NHS, Higher Education Funding Council of Wales, Leeds City Growth, Nottingham City Council, Derby City Council, Leicester MBC, Northwest Development Agency, and BIS.

NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group - Strategic review of commissioning and the Healthcare Market
This research project mapped demand for services, and the range of potential providers to develop effective Purchasing Decision Making (development of Decision Trees) informing future commissioning decisions on behalf of the CCG Board.

NHS NW Leadership Academy – Leading Together Programme
Review, Evaluation and Longitudinal Impact Assessment: Worked closely with NHS NW Leadership Academy on a formative evaluation which led to a longitudinal study of all participants for 18 months.

NHS NW Leadership Academy – Leadership for Integration (L4I) 6 cohorts over 2012-16
Review and impact assessment of a series of development programmes for senior leaders.

Welsh Government – Academi Wales: Review and Evaluation of One Wales 21st Century Leadership Programme
This was a pilot programme for public sector Chief Executives from across Wales and Innovas worked closely with all the participants, the Welsh Government and Cardiff University in the review and evaluation of this programme and the development of it for the future.
